They fought on a foreign battlefield to protect our nation. Now an elite corps of warriors is stepping onto the most important battlefield of their lives: hunting child predators and rescuing children in danger.
The H.E.R.O. Child-Rescue Corps is a one-year program for wounded, ill, and injured service members. The program is a partnership between the National Association to Protect Children, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the U.S. Department of Defense.
HEROs undergo 12 weeks of intensive training in counter-child-exploitation and digital forensics, followed by a paid internship in HSI field offices.
